# XFESystem desktop icon assets

These nine desktop and file-type icons were generated specifically for this
project with the built-in `image_gen.imagegen` tool, at the user's explicit
request. No web images, stock artwork, external icon set, or reference bitmap
was used. `Provenance.json` records the exact prompts and original tool paths.

The final original PNG outputs are in `Source`. Three earlier pale-outline
variants are retained unchanged in `InitialVariants` for provenance and are
not used by the system. The original PNG bytes are never overwritten by the
asset compiler.

`Atlas.rgba` contains nine 64 x 64 icons as straight-alpha RGBA8 pixels, one
complete row-major icon after another, without a header. The order and exact
byte offsets are in `Manifest.json`. `Tools/BuildDesktopIcons.py` only performs
deterministic premultiplied-alpha downsampling and pixel-format packing. It
does not redraw, recolor, repair, crop, or remove backgrounds. Rebuilding
requires Pillow; the version used is recorded in the manifest.

`ContactSheet.png` is only a labeled inspection aid showing the compiled icons
on both white and dark surfaces; it is not loaded by the kernel.

There is no third-party artwork license to redistribute for these generated
outputs. Their use remains subject to the applicable image-generation service
terms and the project owner's distribution terms. This notice does not assert
exclusive rights, trademark clearance, public-domain status, or a separate
third-party copyright license.
