# Original independent size channel The current extracted map UI has a single population checkbox. In `artifacts/galaxy-marker-research/map-as/scripts/components/leftHandPanels/GMSizeFilterComponent.as`, the member named `sizeFilterOptionsComboBox` is actually a `CheckboxButton` whose label is `$GALAXY_MAP_FILTER_population;`. The component observes `optionToggled`, `sliderData` and `available`; it sends the two population bounds when enabled and `callbackOnToggleOff` when disabled. It does not populate a sixteen-category size dropdown. The older `ui-as/FiltersPanel.as` belongs to a separate legacy interface and is not used to infer this current menu. Saved `SizeVisIndex` remains an independent visualisation ID, selected through `3B16B00`. Its actual object vtable `+48` determines size: | Saved IDs | Original size function | Result | | --- | --- | --- | | 0 | `3B27EF0` | object `+A4`, initialized from shared configuration `+1C = .7` | | 1 | `3B27FA0` | population size interpolation `.3..2`, below minimum zero | | 2/3/4/5/6/7/8/10/11/12/14/15 | `3B28160` | object `+64`, initialized by `3AD9FA0` from configuration `+1C = .7` | | 9 | `3B27EB0` → `3B27B00` | original commodity classifier size, already supplied by commodity facts | | 13 | `3B27F00` → `3B1A200` | `.7 * (classification == 1 ? config188 : 1)` | `3B1A200` maps raw colonisation candidate statuses 5 and 6 to classification 1. Other raw statuses 0..15 take the other size branch. The original frozen configuration field `+188` is float bytes `9a99193f`, equal to `.6000000238418579`; the resulting reduced size is the original float multiplication `.7 * .6`. A missing eligibility response cannot be inferred from a public `excluded` label or ownership flag. `research/Trace-GalaxyOriginalSizeOptions.py` checks the pinned image SHA256, every constructor's final derived vtable, every `+48` target, the actual leaf instructions, the frozen configuration SHA256/offset, and the current AS checkbox. Its output is `artifacts/galaxy-query-research/size-options/original-size-options.json`. These are offline source facts, not live or visual acceptance. Implementation preserves the current population control, labels the existing commodity option as saved-value compatibility, and appends any other imported size category only while it is selected. Every saved ID has its original formula or proven constant; unsupported tool-only categories return unknown from `SelectedOriginalSize`. Native eligibility refresh also follows an independent colonisation size selection. The existing worker binding already contains `SizeCategory`, so changing it cancels the previous facts context and rejects stale responses. Excluded investigation leads: `3A9F320`/`3B17400` publish the colonisation descriptor (ID13), not the size selector. They are not used as menu evidence.
